Motivation Monday!

It's Monday again. Sigh. But you know what? We can get through this!
Even though I really didn't want to wake up this morning, I'm pumped for the day! It's another chance to work hard, eat healthy, have fun and do a tough workout!
Summer is on it's way and I want to look good in those short short, tank tops and bikinis! So let's do this guys! Here are some of my favorite motivational quotes for working hard and getting through a tough work out:
You've gotta work for what you want!
No matter what's ahead of you this week, give it your all! Whether you going to school, working at the office or kicking butt at the gym, do everything to the best of your ability and with passion!
The most important thing no matter what your doing is to tell yourself you can! Don't be afraid to say it out loud! You'd be surprised how empowering it is :)
We all have to start somewhere in our journey. No one starts at the top. You have to work hard to get there.
This is my all time favorite!
No matter what you have to do today, enjoy it! I know that may seem impossible if your going to the office or to school for six hours or to do a grueling run, but the most important thing is to find happiness in everything that you do! Not ever day is going to be great, but there will always be something great in each day!

I hope these gave you a boost of power to help get through the day! I know that I'm feeling more motivated now! Have a good one!

Favorites Friday 4/18/14--Summer Prep Edition!

Ciao amici! Cosa c'e di nuovo? Hehe :)

So, guys...IT'S FINALLY ALMOST SUMMER!

Sort of. Just this past week it's really warmed up here and so all of the sudden it was just like 'Wow. Hey, there's only like two months left until summer!'

So, in honor of this fabulous occasion, I'd like to share with you guys some of my favorite products for summer time. So, without further ado, here are my favorite both new and tried and true items for fun in the sun!

Toms: Toms are without a doubt on of my favorite shoe brands right now! I love their classic flat for, well, pretty much any event and any outfit during summer! They can be casual or they can be a little bit more dressy. The colors that the flats come in seem to be endless!
I've worn my Toms with jeans, leggings, shorts, skirts and dresses. Really, you can wear them with ANYTHING.

You can buy your Tom's here.

And now Toms makes other shoe styles!
I'm in love! You can get this great summery booty at Nordstroms.com.

Totes: I don't know about you guys, but I spend my summer at the beach! And there's nothing better to carry you book, sun screen, water and snacks in than a nice tote bag. They're both fashionable and functional. What could be better? Some of my favorite totes are from Victoria Secret/Pink.
You can buy this one here.

Throw Blankets: I love these at all times of the year, but I find them especially great for summer. They're great for sitting outside at night by a bonfire or on the beach. You can wrap them around your shoulders or sit on them. Not to mention, they look great folded on a sofa or a chair when you're not using them.
There are so many great places to get throw blankets, so I'll only share with you guys a few of my favorites.

Bloomingdales is an amazing place to get throws. They have a lot of options so I definitely suggest going over to their website and taking a look.
These particular cotton throws pictured above can be bough here for $80 each.

Saks 5th Avenue has some really beautiful patterns on their throws, however you should probably take a seat before you check out the prices.
This particular wool one pictured above was made in Italy and can be bought here for $586.

Etsy is hands down my favorite place to get some beautiful, great quality throws for great prices. This particular throw pictured above is made by TurkishLinenTowels. They have so many beautiful blankets, but I happen to really love the design on this one. You can buy it here for $69.95.

Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Lotion: I've been using Hawaiian Tropic's tanning lotion for a lot of summers and I always love it! Not only does it help you get a great bronze color, it protects from the harmful rays of the sun! And it smells really good.

For more information go to the Hawaiian Tropic Website. You can buy it at your nearest Walgreens.

Delish!

What's going on guys?
So, I've been eating crazy clean lately to get ready for that summertime bikini! Honestly, it hasn't been that bad. I guess the more often you do it, the more routine it gets. But tonight my family was going out to dinner and practically begged me to go with them. I still had 1000 calories left for my daily allotment and I've been good lately so I figured what the heck!

We went to this great tavern that had the coolest decor. It was very industrial meets rustic. The 'napkin' that the silverware was wrapped in was a dish cloth and the centerpiece was a candle in a mason jar. What a great idea!

Not to mention the food was amazing! I had a Kobe beef cheeseburger with tomatoes, onions and ketchup on it. I had a side of fries as well. They were so delicious! And it came with this really tasty sauce. It tasted a kind of like an au jus sauce with an Asian twist. I think it might have been intended to be put on the burger, but I used it as a dip for the fries.

What a yummy meal!
Have a great rest of your night!

Favorites Friday! 4/4/14

Hey guys! I hope everyone has had a great week! I don't know about you guys, but I'm glad it's finally the weekend. It seems like this week went on forever!
Anyways, I've decided to start a new blog series called Favorites Fridays where I'll share with you guys some of my favorite things of the week (cosmetics, clothes, food, books, movies, etc). Okie dokie. Let's go.

So the first thing on this list is something that anyone who reads YA Fiction will know about. Or parents of YA readers. Or really anyone who doesn't live under a rock.

Divergent the Movie: I went to go see it two Fridays ago when it opened with my girl Sydney and all I can think to say is OH MY GOD. I'm a huge fan of the book series and I was kind of nervous that the movie was gonna leave out a lot and be really bad overall like some book to movie adaptions. But thankfully that wasn't the case. They included pretty much everything and all of the effects and acting were really good. There were a few characters that had bigger roles in the book than in the movie (like Uriah), but they still had an actor to play them.
Besides, the movie had Theo James in it so even if they did leave out every important part, it couldnt have been that bad.
I mean, look at that face.
Look at it.
Sigh.
Darn it Theo, just marry me already will you?
So overall, I give Divergent an A+. If any of you guys have seen it, let me know what you think in the comments.

Baby Lips by Maybelline : These have been pretty popular for awhile, but I'm just now really getting into them. I love how they give you a little bit of color while also moisturizing.
For anyone who doesn't know what Baby Lips are, they're essentially lip balms with a hint of color to them. How much color and the hue depend on which one you buy, just like any other lipstick.
You can buy your own Baby Lips here.

Midkinis: I'm not sure what the weather is like where you guys live, but it's really cold here! And I'm tired of it! I was really feeling the winter blues one day awhile back, so I decided to do some online swimsuit shopping. I stumbled upon the 'midkini', a look that I have never tried before. I really liked it though, so I decided to buy it. The one that I bought looks like this:
It fits perfectly and I can't wait to wear it this summer! If you like it, you can buy it here.

My final favorite for this post is, drum roll please,:
Enamel Bracelets: I just love these so much! They can really add that little bit of effortless pizaz to a casual outfit without making it look too dressed up. And they really add a nice splash of color to any outfit you wear them with. This past week I've been looking for some nice ones on Polyvore. They have so many on there! There's ones for all price ranges too.

I really love this stacked set for spring and summer time! $20 USD at Debenhams

I'm pretty much in love with this stacked set. I think I need to buy these. $18 USD at Overstock.com.

I love all enamel bracelets and pretty much anything with a bow on it, so I'm absolutely head over heels for this Kate Spade bangle. $88 USD at Kate Spade New York.

And last but not least:
This is perfect for summertime. The braided rope really gives it a little bit of that nautical feel.
$28 USD at Fossil.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know what you think of the products that I mentioned in the comments!
